Zinger Aluminium Crate Installation

If you just received your Zinger Aluminium Crate, this post will make the set-up process much easier for you. Setting up the Zinger Aluminium Crate is very easy and can be done in as little as 20 minutes with only person.

All the steps for installing the crate are outlined in your User Manual but if you are a visual learner then check out our set-up instruction video below.

We ship our crates knocked down in order to reduce shipping costs for you. As shown in the video, before setting up, find a clear, flat work space and remove all the panels from the box. All of the panels are labelled with a letter to guide you in the assembly process.

Place the bottom, Panel A, on the ground.

Using the machine screws, washers and locking nuts provided in the assembly kit, assemble the back panel, Panel B, to the bottom. Please note that at this point you should simple finger tighten the hardware.

Position the right side panel, Panel C, and hand tighten screws and nuts.

Repeat the same with the left side, Panel D.

Set the door frame, Panel E, into place, align holes and hand tighten nuts and screws. The door can be swung either left or right so now is the time to change the opening if you wish.

Finally, slide the front edge of the top, Panel F, into the upper door frame and adjust the top toward the back of the crate. The top edges should slide over the sides and the back. Align holes and insert screws and nuts.

At this point, tighten down the screws and nuts. An extra pair of hands here gets the job done faster.

EAch crate comes with a door striker plate to be installed on the door frame. This protects the paint finish and strengthens the door and lock system. Adjust this plate inward for a looser fit.

If your model comes with a back-up locking plate assemble it at the same time as the striker plate. These back up plates with keep the cleverest escape artists from unlocking the crate from inside.

2011 Canadian National Amateur Field Trial Championship

Congratulations to Scott Adams and NAFTCH MJOLNIR BLUEBILL OF ALLANPORT for their win at the 2011 Canadian National Amateur Retriever Championships. I was fortunate enough to be in attendance to watch this great dog run the final series on his way to victory. As a sponsor for this year’s National all of us at Zinger Winger Company would like to tip our hats to the Mountain Valley Retriever Club and their tremendous efforts displayed in putting on this event. The high temperatures all week were nothing short of torturous but the volunteers who put on this event did a great job considering the extreme conditions. The following videos show a sampling of the finalists running the 10th series.

In conjunction with the National Retriever Club of Canada the Zinger Winger Company is excited to announce our involvement as a National sponsor for the 2011 Canadian National Open and Amateur Field Trial Championships. The 2011 National Amateur is being held in Ontario from July 18th-23rd and is being hosted by the Mountain Valley RTC while the Open will be hosted in the province of Manitoba from Sept 19th – 24th and is hosted by the Manitoba Gun Dog Association. The events are held under the Canadian Kennel Club Field Trial Rules and Regulations. As the official remote launcher to these prestigious events the Zinger crew would like to wish all involved the best of good luck.

It was only a matter of time but the Zinger Winger Company has finally entered the modern age of social media. With the onslaught of Facebook, You Tube, Blogging and Tweetering going on we finally decided that there must be something to this trend.

This summer we have been working hard on setting the framework in order for us to more easily stay in touch. Through the use of this Blog, Facebook and a You Tube channel our plan is to be able to inform you of anything new that is coming out of Zinger land. This may include anything from sending you a new product announcement, letting you know if we will be attending a show in your area or running a discount or special offer on one of our products. It is a great way for us to stay in touch and in tune with you.
